I like being a little overly optimistic and it wasnt hard to be over the last couple of years here.
Christensen – Crosby – Esposito
Staal – Malkin – Sykora

I like the sounds of that! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a young, skilled, fast winger to complement the team?

Esposito credited his Juniors coach Patrick Roy for letting him play wing. He has played that position and knows how to play it.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I wonder if he could play comfortably on a wing?

Funny thing happened on the way to training camp the last two past seasons. Two 18 year olds made the Pens NHL team. I think with that groin problem, Esposito may be behind some but there`s always the hope that he impresses and they keep him around for a 10 day look in the NHL like they did with Jordan.
