Intense, high-frequency game tonight with the Canes. Glad we eeked out a point, but man, I'd rather we'd had the 2. The Habs keep fighting, Brent!! There's still a place in my heart for my old team ;-)

Interesting take for this Canadiens fan...the Pens do certainly have the big mo..big matchup in Carolina tonight...have been doing similar thinking about who I'd like Montreal to play...hard to guess with confidence who wins the eastern conference finals this year!

True. It can't be all Ovi all the time, and I really do not see him as contributing to his team's defense the way he should. As I said before, the best offense is a good defense, and that's true in any team sport.

I like the Caps, but I think that their defensive game will be their undoing in the playoffs.

Great article! Brodeur really throws the curve out of whack in terms of playoff experience between the pipes. I, too , am a firm believer of momentum coming at the right time. The Pens had it last year, and this year, even at their worst, they managed to stay within reach of the playoff slots, holding on until the momentum swing ignited. The Caps still make me nervous, but even with Ovi, they have yet to show they are deep playoff contenders.
